You are MORE than ENOUGH!
I used to hear woman talk about what it is to be a woman, a mom, a friend, a wife and most importantly a woman of God, but sometimes, I think we all question to ourselves, what is it that I am? That's a very good question that we all mix up with what the world tells us we are. The world will tell us that we're only beautiful if we wear makeup, if we dress a certain way and wear a certain size, comparing each of us to some higher standard of who the world thinks we should be. But, what is it that we are? For myself, I know that not every day do I wear makeup, or do I get to do my hair, dress myself up or even feel like I get everything accomplished. This, is my life! I have come to realize that it is so not important what everyone else thinks, or even what I think sometimes. I have realized that it's okay if I don't look like I have it all together sometimes, because I don't. Each and everyone of us has those days where we wake up, like today… realize my house is a mess, I have probably 6 loads of laundry to do, there's toys everywhere, the beds are not made, the dishes need to be washed and put away just to do another load, each room is filled with miscellaneous things and of coarse that stack of papers that keeps getting higher with junk/mail/bills/ect. As I look at all of this I have two choices, 1.) to freak out and either try or not try to get stuff done and 2.) get what I can done. Choice two is always better than choice one. Stressing out over things, is so not worth it and in my personal opinion, a waste of time. It's one of those situations that you get what you can get done starting in each room and picking up as you go, while doing laundry through out the day. Just being able to have some of that done while still entertaining a 3 1/2 year old during part of the day and having a meal on the table for when my husband gets home is an accomplishment for me. Each and every day look different in my house! Sometimes the list gets longer as the week goes on and time runs out, but I have learned that us as woman don't need to be so hard on ourselves. I had a friend tell me today that she went to the post office and watched as a lady with 6 children got out of her car went into the post office and came out. Your thinking okay great! Well she said this woman had her hair all done, makeup on and looked all dressed up and had all those kids with her. My first thought is wow, she's got it together with 6 kids and I only have 1. But, I can't look at that and compare myself from the day I was having of not getting all I wanted accomplished, not wearing makeup or doing my hair.
So here it is, what you were waiting to hear! YOU CAN ONLY BE YOU, AND THE YOU THAT YOU ARE IS BEAUTIFUL, MAGNIFICENT, WORTHY AND PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE IN GODS EYES. We are NOT to compare ourselves to everyone else, like we do. We are to focus on who God has created us to be, who God has called us to be. He has called us to be a Proverbs 31 woman. A woman who lives to pursue a personal relationship with the one and only KING JESUS, loves/honors/respects her husband as the leader of her home, nurtures her children & believes that motherhood is a HIGH calling with the responsibility of shaping & molding her children who will ONE DAY define who we are as a community and nation, who creates a warm loving atmosphere for her family & friends, who contributes and is a faithful steward of the time and money God has given her, who speaks life and wisdom as she mentors others, and who shares the LOVE of JESUS by opening her arms and lending a hand wherever she can! This is you!!! With or without makeup, wearing your sweats to the store or looking like you got up and got ready for the day, whether your hair is pulled back in a pony tail or curled beautifully, whether your a size 0 or a size 10! Life is full of chaos sometimes, but we have to embrace that chaos as beauty, as what God put in us and not what the world is always "trying" to tell us! Don't let the enemy ever tell you different! Philippians 1: 6 says "HE, God who began the good work in you, WILL CONTINUE HIS work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back". Take each day as it is and do what you can whether you fulfill the checks on the list you created or you only accomplish one thing. Know that you are worth it all! You are most wonderful, beautiful and worthy, so so very worthy!
