Arizona Cowgirl Session
I ABSOLUTELY love getting to capture women who love their horses.
There’s just a different touch, the way they talk to them and they way they know how to calm them that differs from the person that maybe just views their horse as a tool.
Not that I photograph many who view them like that…people like that don't usually pay to get portraits with their tools, haha!
But I digress, how could I ever express how much these animals mean to me?
As a kid, my horse was always my safe place.
Fight with my parents? I’d head to the barn.
A boy broke my heart? Head to the barn.
Didn’t make the team? Head to the barn.
I bet the horse has probably had more tears cried into his neck more than any other animal on this planet.
They’re ones that deserve all of our love, because they are the ones who give us wings.
Elizabeth Noe and her daughter Mazie with Fergie (grey) and Hollywood (sorrel). Thank you for trusting me with these memories. I love you cowgirls so much and cannot wait to watch you both rodeo this year!
