Well, Hello. I’m Candace Lostroh.

My name is Candace Lostroh. I’m a photographer by trait, and true “horse girl” at heart. My favorite place to be is on the back of a horse with camera in hand or at a rodeo with my family cheering my daughters on as they compete or trailing behind my husband as we hike in our beloved Colorado Rockies.
My passion for photography emerged from blogging and getting the chance to tell stories of my own life and faith. As my blog grew, I began photographing snapshots of our story as I captured our moments of adventure and spontaneity with family and friends. I fell in love with the richness and beauty of storytelling from behind a lens, and I’m honored to help you narrate your own story.
I’d describe my style as cinematic, rich, and emotion-filled. I love capturing real passion, grit, and true beauty from the people or animals in front of my camera. There is a rich bond that can be captured in photos of the HORSE + His Girl, There is raw grit that can be felt in the images of a father working cattle in the summer heat and I cannot express my joy in letting your family just be themselves while I document it. Whether you want to capture your life’s highlights or your roots, your story is one worthy of being told.
